Protect Your Home. Extend Your Roof's Life.
One team for thatching, tiled roof conversions and building work, trusted across Gauteng, North West and the Vaal Triangle since 1998.
Three trades. One team.
From a new thatch roof to a full tile conversion to the building work around it, we handle the whole project so you don't have to manage three different contractors.
Building and thatching Gauteng homes since 1998
Bundu Thatchers & Projects started on the West Rand and has since grown to serve homeowners and businesses across Gauteng, North West and the Vaal Triangle.
We run two specialist divisions, thatching and building, so private homeowners and industrial clients get one accountable team instead of juggling separate contractors. Every job is hands-on supervised from start to finish.

Common questions
Is a thatch roof a fire risk?
Untreated thatch carries more risk than a tiled roof, which is why every thatch roof we install is fire-retardant treated and certified, and we fit lightning conductor poles as standard. If you want a fire-resistant look without any thatch maintenance at all, our tiled roof conversion is worth asking about.
What's the difference between thatch and a tiled roof conversion?
A tiled roof conversion keeps the same thatch-style shape and profile, but replaces the grass with a durable, fireproof tile. It needs no ongoing maintenance, is generally easier to insure, and lasts longer, while still giving your home that thatch look.
Do you help with insurance claims for storm or fire damage?
Yes. We work directly with homeowners and insurers on storm, fire and wind damage claims, and can inspect a damaged roof and advise on next steps.
Which areas do you service?
We're based in Krugersdorp and service Gauteng, North West and the Vaal Triangle, for both private homeowners and industrial clients.
