1. Who we are

Bundu Thatchers & Projects is a thatching and building contractor based at Rant-en-Dal, Krugersdorp, Gauteng, servicing Gauteng, North West and the Vaal Triangle. This website is operated by us and built and hosted by TecureIT on our behalf.

2. Information we collect

We only collect information that you choose to give us, or that is technically necessary to run the website:

• Enquiry form: full name, phone number, email address, the service you're enquiring about, and any details you include in your message.
• WhatsApp: if you contact us via the WhatsApp button, your conversation is handled through WhatsApp (owned by Meta) and is subject to WhatsApp's own privacy policy in addition to this one.
• Phone and email: if you call or email us directly, we process the details you provide in that call or email.
• Cookies and technical data: see our Cookie Policy for details on cookies and any analytics data collected.

We do not knowingly collect payment card details, ID numbers, or other special personal information through this website, as we do not process online payments.

3. Why we collect it

• To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote.
• To contact you about a project you've engaged us for.
• To keep basic records for accounting, warranty and insurance-related purposes where relevant to work carried out.
• To understand how our website is used, so we can improve it (only where you have accepted analytics cookies).

Our legal basis for processing enquiry form information is your consent (given via the consent checkbox on the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you have initiated.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with:

• Our email and hosting provider, solely to deliver enquiry emails and operate the website (TecureIT / our hosting provider).
• Sub-contractors or suppliers, only where necessary to quote or deliver a project you've asked us about.
• An insurer or loss adjuster, where you have asked us to assist with an insurance claim.
• Regulators or authorities, where required by law.

5. How long we keep it

We retain enquiry and project-related information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiry, complete any project, and meet legal, accounting or warranty obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

6. Third-party embeds on this site

• Google Maps: our Contact page embeds a Google Map. Google may set cookies and process data when the map loads, subject to Google's own privacy policy.
• WhatsApp: the WhatsApp button opens a chat via wa.me, operated by WhatsApp / Meta.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information we hold, including securing this website with HTTPS encryption and restricting access to enquiry data to those who need it to respond to you.

8. Your rights under POPIA
